My name is Geraldine, I am from Caracas, Venezuela. I am passionate about home-made food.
I always remember the mouthwatering food from my house in Caracas and since I came to the United States 10 years ago, I was never able to find the exact flavor from home. This is why I decided to start cooking it and sharing it with everyone. I love encouraging people to cook in their houses and learn how to do it. I am a Health Coach and that made me start cooking in a healthier way. I love to mix my Venezuelan culture with the Italian. I consider myself a food philosopher more than a chef. My kitchen is my playground when cooking. I prefer to use my creativity instead of following instructions from a cookbook. This is how I create unique flavors for my plates.
Geraldine was a great host and a fantastic chef! The traditional arepas gave us a wonderful taste of her native Venezuelan home cooking!
Great food and great company! It was wonderful learning about Geraldine's heritage and what inspires her to cook. Would recommend!
Upon entering Geraldine's apartment, my friend and I were greeted by the incredible smell of marinated beef simmering on the stove from within her quintessential Brooklynite’s apartment - mason jars and park benches included. The meal included three different types of arepas (one of which was Geraldine's creation), dessert, a shot, and a cocktail. She is an exceptional hostess and even better cook. We really did feel like we were just hanging out at a friend's house - if that friend happened to know how to make delicious corn-flour flatbread dishes. If you're looking for an authentic Venezuelan from a genuine Venezuelan cook, we highly recommend Geraldine.

Great food, an amazing cocktail that just kept on coming. Really nice company!
Amazing food. Every dish was bursting with flavor, from the surprise appetizers to the kale salad to the spectacular meatballs and the delicious risotto. Geraldine and Jonathan were extremely gracious hosts, never leaving our glasses empty. Really enjoyed the company of fellow 'cookappers' Susan and Paula.
Thanks for a great evening!
